Three's a crowd! Desperate to escape the blazing sun, we squeeze into the hut in the middle of the boat. Seeking shelter from the fireball sun on the open waters of the Mekong River. South African Bradley Goodman in sunglasses, Canadians Roman Verbuck and Danyael Halprin all squeeze into the triangular hut in the middle of the boat on the two-hour ride-the last leg of the journey.

The Mekong had flowed into the border control offices so we had to trudge through murky waters to the Cambodian exit border. Jacqui Wilton from New Zealand is in the foreground, Bradley Goodman from South Africa just in front of her and Canadian Roman Verbuck waits near the boat.
