Description:
Welcome to Sakura - the most expensive restaurant in the city. The cuisine is Kaiseiki (official royal Japanese) and a frugal Japanese meal for two will put you back by US$ 100! Food is very authentic and very, very Japanese, the kind New Delhi isn't quite sure what to do with, so it's no surprise that Japanese visitors form the majority of the clientele here. What puzzles locals even further is the look of the place. Bare walls, naked, wooden tables, a few port-holes for windows and pink curtains - just what are we paying for here? However, if you are a sushi and sashimi connoisseur, and like to eat out of a Bento Box without worrying about the cost, then visit the Metropolitan Nikko hotel and ask for directions to Sakura. The place is pretty deserted most of the time, so you won't have to worry about reservations.
