Description:

The Moti Mahal chain of restaurants is supposed to have invented the world famous Butter Chicken, so it's best to sample the dish here. The décor of this 135-cover joint is a bit over-the-top with a psychedelic colour scheme and Indian handicrafts hanging incongruously from the walls. But one doesn't visit a Moti Mahal outlet for its ambience. What you get is solid, traditional Punjabi food - kebabs, tikkas and tangris - some of the best in the city. The restaurant has introduced a Continental section at this Defence Colony branch, but you will be well-advised to steer clear of all the constructed mince steaks in thick sauces. Eat what the chefs do best - Murg Tikka Masala, Shahi Paneer, and of course Butter Chicken - and you'll come back for more.

Cuisine: North Indian
