matan is little island part of Sorong. i went to this island last month at the first week my coming to papua. not so difficult to reach this island, just take 30 minute from sorong harbour by speed boat.

this island very clean, the water, sand there were no rubish at all.i could saw the reef, fish, coral under the water from the boat. sometime you could see a colony of makarel, sardines fish from this island.

unfortunately there was no population at this island so there  s no ressort, tourist, just only coconut for free. but i feel comfort with this condition, you could enjoy the absolutely quiet of matan.
