I went on a trip to Kanchanaburi last weekend and there was a light festival to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the River Kwai Bridge which the Japanese built in the 1940's WW2. Unfortunately, I did not witness the event as I was at Sai Yok Yai, about 100km north from Kanchanaburi town.

However, it was a good trip as we stayed on the raft and we also did manage to visit a few waterfalls. We also went fishing but no fish was caught at the river. We did, however, caught some at Srinakarin dam, though.

The trip was worth it as we get to see so many beautiful places in Kanchanaburi. More details and pictures of Thailand, check out my little website:- tangcyee.multiply.com and www.part-time-thailand.com
