Biographical Info:

Sharon Yap is a 29-year-old Chinese Singaporean. Except for three years in Perth, Western Australia, where she pursued her bachelor's degree in communication studies, she was born, raised and educated in Singapore, where she still lives. She was an officer at the National Archives of Singapore for the past five years but left to pursue a career in the book publishing industry. (She is, unfortunately, still pursuing - "currently unemployed, lah!" - but is glad that she got the chance to write for ThingsAsian in the meantime.) She likes sightseeing in her own country, small as it may be; visiting the flea marts with her husband; loves books (reading, touching, collecting them), and hopes to one day see all the ancient ruins of the world.
