Rosemary Shannon
Biographical Info:
Rosemary Shannon is the 17-year-old daughter of Ronald and Marilyn Shannon and is the second of seven children. She has been homeschooled since kindergarten. An avid writer, Rosemary has been published in nationally circulated magazines four times, including a poem that placed first in a contest for students. Rosemary is a nine-year 4-H member, and served as president of two different 4-H clubs during her senior year. Her favorite projects have included dairy goat, arts and crafts, and shooting sports. In 1997, she won both county and area 4-H talent contests with a guitar duet, "Dueling Banjos." She is a lover of Gregorian chants and sings in the Latin Mass choir of her church. Rosemary, a National Merit finalist, plans to attend college in Indiana, majoring in general studies and guitar. She looks forward to a second trip to Vietnam for the adoption of another brother or sister.
