Robert Reid is originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma, but has lived in Ho Chi Minh City; San Francisco; Melbourne, Australia; and London, where he now works for Lonely Planet. He's updated the Great Plains chapter for the LP USA guide, and will be updating southern Mexico for Central America in 2003.
