Biographical Info:

Philip Yim is a sales manager by profession but has a great passion for creative writing during his leisure hours. Like many other fellow Singaporeans, he is effectively bilingual in English and Chinese and writes freelance for local newsletters and magazines occasionally. He once aspired to be a photojournalist after seeing some Ansel Adams photos but woke up to reality soon after. He has since compensated himself by taking up a regional job a few years ago so as to experience life outside the comforts of home. He feels very strongly about losing things, especially the intangibles. That's the reason he is studying the various cultures and traditions in Singapore to have a better grasp of what remains of the old-world charms that could be gone forever in years to come.
