Dr. P. Desikan has M A and PhD in Chemistry and over 35 years experience in technical and R & D management in which the last 8 years have been as a Director of a polymer manufacturing facility near Bangalore where he resides. His hobbies include the study of languages, history, culture, religion, philosophy and writing for Geometree.net. He writes and composes verses in English, Tamil and Sanskrit and enjoys communication both oral and written. He is the editor of a book on "Unit Processes in Organic Chemical Industry", brought out by the Chemical Engineering Department of IIT Chennai and a large number of research papers in the fields of Organic Chemistry and Petroleum Technology. He has also written several white papers for software companies and other articles of general and scientific interest for the web.
