Elizabeth Briel
Biographical Info:
I'm an American artist, based in Sydney and Bangkok.
For 5 years I called several countries in Asia home: Cambodia, Korea and Hong Kong. I taught photography to street kids with the Angkor Photo Festival; taught english & art to kids and salarymen while scarfing kimbap over lunch breaks; and ran a community gallery out of my art studio on a little island near Hong Kong.
In Hong Kong I was also commissioned to illustrate a kids book by ThingsAsian for my favorite Asian city. It's called "H is for Hong Kong", and is a very blue book filled with my hand-tinted blueprints and Tricia Morrissey's imagination.

Sleeping Inside a Camera
Elizabeth Briel - ebriel [955]
The patches of light and color on my walls moved lazily along with traffic noises outside, and soon I realized these were no ordinary shadows that flickered onto my wooden walls.
