read abt yr article in rgds to Pulau Bidong.. i was there in the early 90s, working with MRCS/UNHCR. beautiful memories of the Vietnamese and a small number of Kampucheans. i wonder is some of them, either resettled or repatriated, still remember me. i was in charged of Zone B School and later transfered to the island Sports Section.. if u do, contact me. i am writing this in memory of a good friend, a vietnamese doctor who died due to a brain tumor.. no thanks to the americans who had caused this due to Orange Agent ;( anyhow, Pulau Bidong was a haven and still is a reminiscent of a lost 'civilisation'..
