We lived in Germany, in California, back in Germany, 3 years in Africa and came to Bangkok and Phuket for a well deserved family holiday. We loved Bangkok, hated Phuket (rain, expensive, touristic) and went back to Africa. But we could not get Thailand out of our head. We had seen Singapore (too sterile), Hongkong (too chinese) but Thailand? We wanted to find out more. When we got offered a job in Thailand in 1990, we decided to move here for a couple of years...... the rest is history. We never left and made it our home.
