I've only recently visited Vietnam for the first time - my father is Vietnamese but until recently I never wanted to go there. not sure why - I've always associated Vietnam with the American war and the atrocities that always result from the `fog of war'. However my first trip to Ho Chi Minh earleir this year was wonderful - felt like `coming home' to use a well-worn cliche. Off to hanoi in a month's time and even hoping to start a business importing and selling handcrafts from Vietnam. So future is looking bright!
