There is also another Jim Thompson restaurant in a soi off Sala Daeng in Silom. Also the Jim Thompson farm near Khao Yai is worth a visit though I believe it is only open for a short season in December.

The garden in the centre was lush and beautiful with big ceramic urns of orchid and tropical plants decorated here and there. I bought a wonderful Thai silk shirt featuring the same pattern of wave with fish tails I saw on one of the urns. Do not miss the nice cafe on the ground of the museum. I tried the morning glory tempura for the first time, uniquely tropical, and went down very well with passion fruit juice.
